• The admissions coordinator will confirm receipt of referral and notify the clinical liaison who will complete an evaluation within 1 hour. Patients on a ventilator may require up to 24-48 hours depending on the complexity of the assessment and financial arrangements.
• A determination if a patient meets clinical criteria and is approved for admission to Kissito Healthcare The Brian Center Botetourt should be made within 1 hour following completion of the clinical evaluation.
• Determinations will be phoned to the referring agent and a note left in the chart regarding same with inclusion of specific transfer information if the patient has been determined eligible.
