All of our respiratory care plans for ventilator dependent patients include appropriate activities and therapeutic interventions. Quality of life through these activities are of the utmost importance to our ventilator dependent patients ability to be weaned and/or maintain an excellent quality of life while on a ventilator for extended periods of time. You will even find our ventilator dependent patients out in the garden on a nice sunny day!

Our 25 bed respiratory care unit is equipped with state-of-the-art portable ventilators that provide residents with enhanced mobility for easier access to health and rehabilitation services and activities inside the facility, as well as transportation outside the facility.

Around-the-clock care by licensed respiratory therapists facilitates exceptional success in weaning residents from the ventilator and preventing hospital readmissions. Respiratory care teams continually assess, manage and monitor all residents with breathing issues, including:

  • Neurological and Neuromuscular Disorders
  • Lung Diseases and Injuries
  • Post-Operative Weaning Failure
