Long Term Care

Botetourt’s activities provide opportunities to travel in and out of town in on our passenger bus to shop, attend movies, plays, county fairs and other exciting community events. We also provide opportunities to play games for cognition growth as such as Bingo, Sorry, Clue, Checkers, Chinese checkers, card games, and much more. One’s spiritual side is very important, so our local churches and pastors volunteer to bring church, singing and other types of services to fit the residents needs. We have entertainment that makes you laugh, dance, and mostly remember the “good ole days.” We provide cooking experiences that make your mouth water such as making our own apple butter, fried pies, homemade ice cream and much more. In the Botetourt activities department we have great times living life to its fullest.

Certified Nurse Aids offer a helping hand with all activities of daily living. Regardless of the level of assistance needed from “supervision only” to “total dependence” our CNA’s are happy to provide just the right amount of care needed. They coach and encourage each resident to perform to the best of their ability in an effort to become as independent as possible, but always provide as much assistance as needed with a caring and compassionate attitude.

Quality Assurance Program

Botetourt’s Quality Assurance Program is second to none and we are constantly monitoring our quality of care at Botetourt. We are always brainstorming new ideas and trouble-shooting anything that may not be running properly or any faults in our systems. We have several systems in place and are continuing to implement new systems that help us provide a high quality of care with a diverse roll on nursing. We provide assistance to all of our staff and continue to educate every team member at Botetourt in all departments. We continue to strive to exceed all state guidelines and qualifications. We continue to have the desire to take on challenging situations to expand our nursing skills in the fast growing and changes world of today.
